THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED.
We have a family ticket to give away for a great day out at Legoland Discovery at the Trafford Centre, Manchester.
The Force is Strong in Manchester!

The new Star Wars display at the Legoland Discovery Centre in Manchester is made up of over 250,000 LEGO bricks, is home to 2000 LEGO Star Wars mini-figures and took 2,000 man hours to create! “That’s kinda cool,” was my thought on the three displays taken from the first Star Wars film. The kids were excited by them because they had some interactive bits where you could shoot those little robot men thingys and race a couple of those spaceship whatsits around a track.
As you can tell, I’m not really into Star Wars. Ahem.
Obviously not knowing much about it all, I asked someone that did: Apparently, they are incredible and the attention to detail in them is outstanding. That was about all I managed to get out of the other half before he ran off to shoulder some poor kid out of the way and race a spaceship thingy around a track.
The rest of Legoland however, I am enthused about. There is one large Lego pit full of bricks for building, a car construction area complete with test ramps and an electronic race track. There are great big Lego cars the kids can sit in and drive around a track. There’s a shoot-em-up roller coaster, a Harry Potter ride, a Lego Friends area complete with karaoke machine and a toddlers area with large foam Lego bricks to play with. The Pièce de résistance for my youngest was the much improved soft play climbing frame where he spent about 2 hours constructing a fort out of foam Lego bricks.
We had a fine old time and can’t recommend it highly enough.
