We’ve told you about Potters Holiday Resort before and what a fabulous place it is, but this time we went back to take part in a half term weekend of family fun and activities.
And what a blast we had!
Potters is a lovely family holiday resort on the Norfolk Coast just a few minutes south of Great Yarmouth, it’s about a 5 hour drive from Bury through some gorgeous countryside. It has both a hotel and bungalows for families to stay, a huge main building with umpteen different rooms for family fun, large playing fields, play ground, swimming pool complex, golf course and even its own beach.
As soon as we arrived there were things for the kids to do. Rather than having them waiting around whilst we emptied the car I stayed with them and played on the assault course whilst Dan did the unpacking.
The inflatable assault course was hilarious – it’s a huge long thing set up in the hall with things to jump over, craw under, leap through, weave around and generally wear the little ones out. We couldn’t resist having a go ourselves and let me tell you – it’s not as easy as the kids make it look!
As well as the inflatable assault course which seemed to be up a few times a day there was a bouncy castle, kart racing, crafts, dancing, table tennis, swimming, badminton and bowling, to name just a few- all indoors.
Out side there was the fun bus – soft play on a bus which was ace, bungy trampolines, giant swing, football coaching as well as plenty of other stuff that we simply never found the time to do and lots and lots of space for running around.
And of course the beach. Which was no less beautiful in the autumn.
There was so much going on during the day to take part in that we only got to sample a small amount of the them – and then of course there was the evening entertainment. The pre-dinner singing in the bar was wonderful. On one of the nights the singer was the guy who played Dean Martin in the Rat Pack stage show and my daughter fell in love with him.
After dinner there was kids entertainment for an hour which was hilarious and then a stage show which went on late into the night. We only made it one of the evenings stage show and watched Jack Caroll, the teenage comedian from Britain’s Got Talent.
All in all we had a fantastic two night stay at Potters Leisure Resort and would thoroughly recommend it as a great place for a family holiday. For more information you can visit Potters Holidays website, follow them on Twitter or on Facebook.
We were given free full board accommodation for two nights over the half term in order to review Potters Leisure Resort. All opinions are our own.
